Tout Pret Winery – an exciting new look at how we think of wines
THE PERFECT MIX
Tout Pret is a new family based winery started by Lachlan Murray, a viticultural graduate of CSU, and based out of Barnawartha in the Rutherglen Wine region of North East Victoria. Lachlan produces the wines with grapes sourced within the Rutherglen region, and crafts these with input from his partner Marnie Malcolm and their children, Lizzie, Percy, and Ted though these three can only let him know how it smells.
COMPLETE PERFECTION
Tout Pret is the family motto of the Murray Clan of Scotland and translates to Always Ready, a good descriptor for the types of wines Lachlan likes to drink, and therefore would like to make for everyone to enjoy. With this in mind, the names of the wines produced by the Tout Pret label will not reflect the variety of the grape used in the production but will more reflect the usage of the wine within different social settings. One benefit of this plan is that the same wine label (ie PICNIC) could be made of different varieties each year, be new and exciting, but would still be suited to a picnic environment.
Part of the family aspect of the brand also includes friends, as Lachlan and Marnie, being very cliché, see them as family also. This means that many friends of the family are involved in the winemaking process, too many to be mentioned individually, and they need to be thanked.

In partnership with Josh Neille, 500 bottles of BBQ has been allocated so that $5 of the purchase cost will be donated to Josh Neille’s ON YA! wildlife rescue program to pay for anything that is required to care for the orphaned native animals that Josh and his family save.
